Overtaken by Nature

I took this picture with a Nikkon Coolpix 7600 at Riverfront Park. Although it breaks the rule of "diagonal lines are more attractive than vertical lines" I loved the way the trunk seemed to be overtaken naturally by vines, and the way they wrap all the way around the remains of the tree and add so much color. I will also admit it's a little busy with all of the other trees and plants around it, but I was still fascinated with the reds and oranges that enveloped the trunk. I also think the trees on the sides of the trunk in the middle seem to frame it so the focus is on my favorite part.

Sunshine and Flowers

I took this picture in 2005 in Boston, MA with a Nikkon Coolpix 7600. I really like this picture because of the way the light hits the flower. The background stayed darker but the sun hit just inside the flower. I also like the angle I was able to capture.
